5th GRADE HOMEWORK REWARD!

Domino’s Pizza in Kent donated pizza, Domino’s souvenir cups, candy, and pizza coupons to Longcoy School.

The fifth grade teachers (Mrs. Elliott, Mrs. Mandalari, and Mrs. Ramey) keep track of classwork and homework completion and the students who demonstrate the responsibility of turning in school work on a regular basis are rewarded every two weeks! Way to go students thank you, Domino’s!

RHS ZOOLOGY CLUB VISITS LONGCOY

The Zoology Club from Roosevelt High School visited Longcoy recently and shared many interesting facts about some of their most popular animals. The elementary students loved seeing and touching the animals and the high school students did a great job of interacting with the Longcoy students! Thank you to 3^rd grade teacher, Mr. Draper, for organizing this year’s visit with the Zoology Club.

Longcoy Students Reach Out to Veterans!

Many Longcoy students across all the grades made Veteran’s Day cards for the Veterans who will be eating free Friday, November 11, 20011 at Applebees in Stow. Fifth grade Social Studies teacher (Heather Elliott) organized the activity and delivered over 100 cards, along with pencils to the restaurant after school. She was told by the restaurant manager that the cards will be so appreciated by the men and women who receive them!

Mrs. Wade and Mrs. Wollam’s 2nd grade classes studied Eric Carle’s collage illustrations and the techniques he used. Based on what the students learned, they created their own versions of his art. Great job kids!
