So since we took the reading test we’re done, right?  Ummm nope, sorry.  We have some grammar and writing standards that I still need to cover before the students enter seventh grade.  This week we are assessing over the different types of pronouns.  The students will be assessed on their pronoun knowledge by creating a song to show usage of the pronoun types.  We will end the week with adjectives.  Adjectives make life pretty, fun and colorful!  Students will be creating a Mad Libs to show their knowledge and practice adjectives.  We are still reading and discussing Heat on a regular basis as well as reading Cleveland Indians articles to prepare for our trip to the ballpark!

Monday:  Reading OAA, OAA reflection journal, Read ch. 14 (not hw)

Thanks for all your support helping the students improve their OAA score.  The students seemed very confident in their efforts and I could not be prouder of the students determination!  Great job!

As you can see this week we are covering pronouns.  The homework for pronouns will be in the form of a packet, with different pages assigned according to the daily notes.  The packet is optional and is designed to be additional practice from the daily notes.  Completed worksheets will be graded and bonus points will be assigned to the pronoun assessment.  Further, students who complete the practice will be allowed guidance and assistance (help) on their assessments.  Stude
