Greetings From Longcoy School!

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Hello Longcoy Friends!

As we celebrate the holidays, close out 2010, and bring in the New Year, I wish you peace and tranquility during this very busy time of year, both at school and at home! After we return to Longcoy in January, school also becomes an academically busy time when students are learning the most difficult concepts and skills. It is during the winter months when students need to be even more diligent about applying themselves to classwork, homework, and their academic learning in general. Please be sure to continue checking your child’s bookbag on a daily basis, reading to or with your child each night, and reinforcing good homework habits at home. At Longcoy our school vision statement is: “All Longcoy students will learn. . . whatever it takes.” We take this statement seriously and we want to work together with our Longcoy families to make sure that every student is successful! Please communicate with your child’s teacher and ask questions when you have them so that we can remain a united team for the benefit of your child. Thank you for all you are doing to support your child and our school. We appreciate all that you do!

Remember:      TEACHERS + STUDENTS + PARENTS = SUCCESS!!

Sincerely,
Janice Swan
