Last night concluded our usher for Kent State Football. I would like to thank the people listed below. Without their help we wouldn’t have been able to raise over $4,000. If you weren’t able to help with football there is still time to help with ushering basketball. The winning classrooms for the pizza parties are Mrs. Longanecker, Mrs. Bates, Mrs. Weitzel, and Mrs. Kunkle. There was a tie for third place.
Many of these people volunteered for more than one game. I would also like to thank Mindy Uhrig who organized all the whole season and was in charge.
Help Holden Elementary raise money for our students. You don’t need to sell anything. We will raise just over $8,000 for the basketball season. This money will help to support evening family events that are provided for no cost and equipment that students will be able to use to help support their learning. Please click on the link below to sign up for a game. Thank you for your support.
On Friday, November 10th the 5th grade students at Holden Elementary honored veterans at an assembly in the afternoon. We would like to thank all the families and veterans that attended the assembly. Below are three videos that were submitted by our families that we were unable to watch during the assembly. Please take time to listen to their stories.

Holden has taken the steps to becoming a schoolwide title 1 school. This means that all students will benefit from our title 1 services. The newsletter below will give you more information about the schoolwide program. Please contact our office if you have any questions.
Beginning on Monday, September 18th, our 2nd and 4th graders will begin taking the Cogat and Iowa assessments. The assessments will be spread out over the next two weeks. These assessments are used for our gifted screening and reviewed during data meetings to identify strengths and areas of growth for individual students. Parents will receive a copy of the results when they are returned to the district. Please contact Mr. Poole if you have any questions. Thank you.
