FRANKLIN STUDENTS JUMPED AND RAISED $2256.00 FOR AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

Franklin students, grades second thru fifth recently participated in the American Heart Association’s JUMP ROPE FOR HEART as a culminating event for their Jump Rope Unit in Physical Education.  Not only utilizing their jump rope skills, but also engaging in discussions about keeping themselves and those they love HEART HEALTHY! We posted  paper hearts on the walls in the gymnasium in honor of family and friends touched by heart disease to make our student aware of the many lives effected by this disease.

Thanks to our Franklin families and friends Franklin Students raised $2256.00 for the American Heart Association. Top fund raisers were Grant and Abby Jones, who raised $680.  Thank you to all who participated, and our awesome Franklin jumpers.

Keep jumping rope and make Heart Healthy choices!
Mrs. Barbara Vasbinder
