On Friday, January 27, 2012 the Davey staff and students celebrated another successful grading period!

Congratulations to all of our students! The assembly time was used to celebrate excellent character, our BUG (bringing up grades) club, Honor Roll, All A’s and Dragon Spirit award! Our three Dragon Spirit award winners were: Mrs. Pischl’s 3rd Grade Class, Mrs. Falconer’s Kindergarten Class and Mrs. Perison’s 3rd Grade Class.

A special “thank you” to our Davey Choir! Once again the choir members amazed us with their singing, dancing and leading us in “Davey Cheers”!!

Friday night was the annual Pinewood Derby at Davey Elementary. The pinewood derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from wood, usually from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles. The cars were amazing!

The winners of the derby were:

First Place: Myles Mathys (St Pat’s)
 
Second Place: Spencer Feeley (home school)
 
Third Place: Carson D’sidocky (Davey)

Thank you family and friends for coming to support the Scouts! Everyone should be very proud of their accomplishments!
