June Update

Dear parents and community members,

Free meals available for children this summer
Children from age 1 to 18 can receive free meals this summer at five sites in Kent.  Click on this link for more information.

Welcome new students and parents
If you are a new Kent resident or interested in enrolling your student in the Kent City Schools, enrollment forms are available here.  Visit www.kentschools.net or call the New Student Registration Office at 330-676-7675.

Our new Centralized Registration Center is a one-stop, convenient way for parents to enroll their children in the Kent City Schools.  We welcome our new families and want to make the enrollment process easy and efficient for them.

Stay cool in the RHS Natatorium
Roosevelt’s Natatorium offers beginning swimming lessons for toddlers and floaters, Red Cross swim classes, water aerobics and water arthritis classes.

Registration for the Summer session begins Monday, June 11, and ends Monday, June 18.  Register online at mypaymentsplus.com or call the pool office at 330-676-8760.  Eight swim lessons are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning June 18 or Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning June 19 for $50 for residents.

Open swimming is offered for $5 for residents with children age 6 and under for free on Monday through Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday.  For more details, visit www.kentschools.net/rhs-pool/ or call 330-676-8760.

Join me for coffee on July 25
Please join me for coffee and conversation on Wednesday, July 25, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Little City Grill, 802 North Mantua. I really enjoy visiting with our Kent residents.

Thank you again for your support of the Kent City Schools,
